Patricia Lee (Clark) Madsen, 85, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Crouse Hospital. Patricia was born in Fulton, NY, grew up in Minetto, and resided in Liverpool then Baldwinsville for the past 17 years. She worked as a school teacher for over 30 years, first in Rochester, NY, and then retiring from the Liverpool Central School District.  She received her Bachelors Degree from Marywood College, and continued her studies at the University of Rochester. Pat was a voracious reader of literature and poetry, solved crossword puzzles (in pen), was an avid bridge player, and an extremely talented knitter. As a founding member of the Food Club, she enjoyed journeying by train with her friends to New York City each year. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, golfing, and volunteering at Hospice and Camp Healing Hearts of Central New York.  Most importantly, Pat was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and she treasured spending time with her family and friends.  She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Haidee Clark, and a brother, Paul.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Ronald (Ron) Madsen, 2 daughters; Kristen (Richard) Capannola of Westfield, MA and Kathryn (William) McShane of Collegeville, PA, grandchildren; Morgan Adams, Lauren Capannola, Ryan McShane, great-grandchild; Kieran McShane, 2 sisters; Carol Cressey and Charlene Mitchell, and several nieces and nephews.

Pat's family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Crouse Hospital, and her caregivers from Touching Hearts at Home, Mary and Muna.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Patricia's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of Central New York, or to a charity of your choice.
