Obituary

Patricia L. Sobotka, 93, of Liverpool passed away on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, NY, she graduated from North Syracuse High School. Patricia was employed as a receptionist for the NYS Parole Division in Syracuse, retiring after 25 years of service. She enjoyed wintering in Fort Myers, Fl. and has resided in Liverpool for the past 63 years. Patricia was a communicant of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Liverpool. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, John J. Sobotka, her parents, Lee Karkruff and Lula Parker and her brother, Robert Karkruff.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, Steven Sobotka of Liverpool, NY, daughter, Martha (Daniel) Mulroy of Cicero, NY, three grandchildren; Melissa (Steven) Squires, Daniel (Kiara) Mulroy, Kelly (Thomas) Sansone, three great-grandchildren; Lily Squires, Laken Mulroy, Dawsen Mulroy, two sisters-in-law, Dona and Irene Sobotka, several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 210 Hazel Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery in DeWitt.

The Family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses in the Emergency Room and the PICU Department at St. Joseph's Hospital for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
