July 2, 1931 – March 23, 2023
Paul J. Yatsonsky, 91, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Paul was born in Eynon, PA and has lived in Liverpool for the past 59 years. He retired in 1989 from General Electric where he worked as an Electrical Engineer for 33 years. He was instrumental in the development of the first computers for GE. Paul was a graduate of the University of Scranton where he earned his Bachelors' Degree in Engineering. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War as a 1 st Class Petty Officer and Mechanic. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Maple Bay Anglers Club at Oneida Lake. Paul enjoyed gardening and farming. Some of his other enjoyments were bowling, golfing, dancing with the love of his life, Florence, going on cruises and especially spending time with his loving family.
He is predeceased by his parents, John & Margaret Yatsonsky, brother, John Yatsonsky and his sister Elizabeth Brady.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Florence, his children; Paul (Cheryl) Yatsonsky of Binghamton, NY, Donna (Andrew) Jeselson of Leominster, MA, Dr. David (Linda) Yatsonsky of Jefferson Township, PA, Bob Yatsonsky of Brewerton, NY, grandchildren; David, Kyle, Mary Kate, Allison, Colleen Yatsonsky, Andrew, David and Nicole Jeselson, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St., Liverpool, NY 13088. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Epiphany Parish at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Avenue, Liverpool, NY 13088. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Salisbury Road, Syracuse, NY 13219.
