Paula M. (Bogart) Katz, 70, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 6, 2022.  Paula was born in Binghamton, NY on June 9, 1951 to Lawrence and Celestina (Coainiz) Bogart. She always had a strong devotion to her mother and had a special bond with her mother that time will never erase.

Paula attended Broome Community College and Binghamton School of Practical Nursing. She was a devoted nurse at Binghamton General Hospital and expanded her skills into private duty nursing.  Paula married her best friend and true love, Barry Katz, in September of 1979 and personally cared for him for 14 years as he fought ALS before his death in 2013. She is also predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Celestina Bogart; brother, Gary Bogart and sister-in-law-law, Barbara Bogart.

Paula always did her best to ensure her sons had the mother they deserved. Her heart was filled with pride and love for both of her sons for their accomplishments in life and love.

Paula is survived by her sons, Christopher (Nicole) Katz and Gregory Katz; her precious grandson, Dominic Katz; a brother, David Bogart and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10:00 am in Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090.  The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
