Peter A.
Gallauresi
Nov 3, 1945 — Jul 6, 2026
Peter A. Gallauresi, 80, of Liverpool, New York, passed away at his home on Monday, July 6, 2026. Peter was born in Solvay, New York on November 3, 1945. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and for over 50 years he worked in Business and Information Technology.
He was a lifelong athlete and a true bicycle enthusiast whose passion for riding was woven into the fabric of his everyday life. Rain, or shine, he was out at Onondaga Lake Park every single day, finding immense joy and freedom in the pedaling. Remarkably he continued to ride religiously throughout his final years of cancer treatments, a testament to his enduring strength and spirit. When he wasn’t outdoors, he was a dedicated computer hobbyist who loved working with technology, and he took great joy in caring for his beloved cat, Cleo. He kept up his active lifestyle, riding faithfully up until his very last days.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Bonnie (Dean) Gallauresi, daughter, Lisa (Lee Baker) Gallauresi of Easthampton, MA, son, A. Peter Gallauresi of Solvay, NY, stepson, Douglas (Tracy) Weaver, of Lakeport, NY, stepdaughter, Sandra Weaver Thorne (Mark) of Cicero, NY, 3 sisters, Susan (Phillip) Mastroleo, Ellen (Edward) Haak and Elizabeth (Mathew) Massiano, brother, Billy (Judy) Gallauresi, 3 brothers-in-law, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and, many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at this time.
