Lerro
March 27, 1932 – June 25, 2025
Ralph P. Lerro, 93, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Wednesday at Elderwood at Liverpool. He was born in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Michele and Angelina (D'Onofrio) Lerro. After graduating from North High School, Class of 1949, Ralph proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On August 8, 1953 he was united in marriage to the former Marilyn I. Richmond, a blessed union of 69 years until her passing in 2023. Ralph retired as a Sales manager with AT&T in Syracuse after 35 years of employment.
Ralph loved traveling with his wife and playing cards with family and friends. He enjoyed golfing, trips to the casinos and Bingo. Ralph had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining friends with his stories. Most of all he valued family time, always proud of all his grandchildren's accomplishments.
He was a member of Arrowhead Golf Course for 15 years, the American Legion Post # 787 in Cicero and a communicant of Pope John XXIII Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn, great-grandson, Joey, brother, Clement Lerro and his sister, Carmela Laury.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his son, Thomas (Susan) Lerro, of North Syracuse, NY, two daughters, Angela (Steven) Vangel of Liverpool, NY and Linda (David) Laubscher of Chapel Hill, NC, six grandchildren; Patricia (Aaron), Pamela (James), Joseph (Brittany), Jaclyn (Bobby), Kevin (Cailin), Kristen (Alex), two step-grandchildren, Bridget (Nelson) and Tracy, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am. The Rite of Committal and entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt, NY.
The Family would like to extend a special thank you to Debbie Dullen and Michelle Pettit for their dedicated care and compassion and also acknowledge the staff and residents at Park Rose Estates for treating Ralph like family this past year.
