Randolph Paul Kinn, 69, passed away on October 10, 2024 in Cape Vincent, NY. Born on October 9, 1955 in Syracuse, to Paul and Louise (Raschella) Kinn, he grew up in Syracuse, where he graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in 1974, and attended Syracuse University.  After finishing at Syracuse in 1978, he returned to CBA as an athletic trainer, where he worked for 43 years.  Above all, Randy valued student and athlete safety and well-being, and throughout his career greatly contributed to the CBA community and to his field.  In 1981, the Eastern Trainers Association named him the top high school trainer in the state. In 1989, he received the NHL Service Award for his research on head, neck and face injuries in ice hockey. In 1992, he received the Onondaga High School League Service Award.  In 2004, he received the Purple and Gold Award by the CBA Alumni Association for his outstanding dedication and service to the CBA community.  He was inducted into the CBA Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014. Though he retired in 2022, he remained an avid supporter of CBA athletics and continued to be active in the CBA community.

An avid fisherman for much of his life, he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his father, each summer on the St. Lawrence River. Randy is predeceased in death by his mother Louise, his father Paul, and cousin, Samuel Tassone.

He is survived by his siblings; Nancy (John) Solazzo and Joseph (Catherine) Kinn, his nieces, Dr. Stephanie Solazzo, Laura (Philip) Burns and Jennifer (Benjamin) Thomas, nephews, John (Heather) Solazzo and Paul Kinn and several great nieces and nephews.
