August 21, 1944 – June 4, 2026
Raymond H. Ripple, 81, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. He was born in Dayton, OH to the late Harold L. and Jean Elizabeth (Amberger) Ripple. Ray grew up in Rome, NY, graduating from Rome Free Academy, where he played football. He had previously resided in Watertown, NY and Rochester, NY before coming to the Syracuse area.
In 1984, Ray began his career with Sysco as a Marketing Associate and quickly progressed to District Sales Manager, earning the Pacesetter Award in 1989. He also served as one of Sysco’s NE Regional Trainers, receiving the Best Presenter Award. Ray was actively involved with the American Culinary Federation in both the Rochester and Syracuse Chapters. He earned the Presidential Medallion Award in 2002 in Rochester and the Presidential Recognition Award in Syracuse in 2003.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two sisters and a brother.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving companion of 25 years, Ellen B. Toll of Baldwinsville, NY and their dog, Sadie, who he adored; two sons, Lewis (Susan) Ripple of Alexandria, VA and Raymond (Shauna) Manassa of Syracuse, NY; his daughter, Renee (Brian) McInis of Orlando, FL; 5 grandchildren, Alexis, Luke, Bowie, Amanda and Jessica; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Raymond’s life will be held at a future date.
