Rhoda L. Sikes, 89, of Liverpool, passed away on April 7, 2022.  Rhoda was born in East Otto, NY and has lived in Liverpool for most of her life.  She was a graduate of SUNY Potsdam College, Class of 53'.   She retired as a Kindergarten Teacher where she taught at the Heman Street School in East Syracuse, for 30 years.  Rhoda was very active in the Liverpool Community. She was active with the Friends of Historic Onondaga Lake.   In 2004 she was involved in the re-opening of the Ste. Marie among the Iroquois site, and managed the Gift Store there.  She managed the Salt Museum Gift Shop in 1990, and was active in the Liverpool Library Community Center.  She was a Read Out volunteer at WCNY, and spent 25 years as a reader for the Read Out program.  She most recently had served on the ESM-NS Federal Credit Union Board.

She is predeceased by her siblings, John, Sylvia and Richards Sikes.

Surviving to cherish Rhoda's memory are her Sister, Ruby Fuller of Athens, GA, and many Nieces and Nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Liverpool Village Cemetery.  Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
