Richard T. DeMong, 92, of Pennellville, passed away December 29, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.  Born in Syracuse to the late Edward and Ella DeMong, he was a U.S. Army Sergeant serving from 1950 until 1956.  Richard was a member of the Teamsters Local 317, driving cement trucks for over 40 years.  In his free time, he enjoyed eating sweets, boating, fishing, hunting and traveling, especially his trips to Alaska.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Richard will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara (Huto) DeMong; son, Richard B. DeMong (Tracey Gray); daughter, Robyn DeMong; grandchildren, Bryn and Dominick DeMong; sister, June Piazza, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Maurer Funeral Home, Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 5 at 10:30 am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 State Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
