Richard Paul Karuzas, Sr., 89, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Elderwood at Liverpool. He was born in Utica, NY the son of the late Michael and Emma (Rothdiener) Karuzas. Richard grew up in Utica where he attended high school. He was a proud US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean War. Richard continued his studies obtaining his Master's degrees in Business and Arts. He was employed by Lockheed Martin in Liverpool, NY. He also had a love for painting. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Barbara A. Karuzas and his sister, Linda (Karuzas) Sisti.

Surviving is his son, Richard Paul Karuzas, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, two daughters, Mary Theresa (David) Karkan of South Solon, OH and Alice Marie Karuzas of Gainesville, FL, his sister, Carolyn Karuzas of Redondo Beach, CA, brother, Cliff Karuzas of Utica, NY, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street Liverpool, NY 13088. Burial will follow in Liverpool Village Cemetery with military honors.
