Richard Chris Kittelsen, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away on Saturday, at the age of 65. He was born on August 16, 1958, in New Rochelle, NY, son of the late Leif and Evelyn (Olson) Kittelsen and most recently resided in Baldwinsville, NY.
Richard dedicated over thirty years of his life to his career at the Nine Mile Point 2 Nuclear Station as a Mechanical Engineer, where he achieved great professional success. His dedication and hard work were an inspiration to those who knew him. Richard's time off was exclusively dedicated to taking his family to Disney World and spoiling them rotten.
Known for his unique outlook on life, Richard's favorite motto was "Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc." His wit and humor brought joy to those around him, and his words continue to resonate with his loved ones.
Richard was married to Leslie A. (Janes) Kittelsen for 38 years, and their relationship was a testament to their love and commitment. Together, they built a beautiful life and created a loving home for their two daughters, Evelyn and Emily.
Richard is survived by his wife Leslie, two daughters, Evelyn and Emily and two brothers, Arthur (Vicki) Kittelsen and Eric (Barbara) Kittelsen. Their bond as brothers was unbreakable, and their support for one another was unwavering. Also surviving are two nephews and two nieces.
Richard Chris Kittelsen will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will be cherished, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 pm.
