Richard M. Townsend, 78, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Christmas Eve, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Auburn, NY to the late Milford and Elva (Rifle) Townsend. Richard enjoyed a life-long career in sales in the Central New York region. He was a weather watcher, loved to play pool, and collect model trains. Richard was also an avid SU sports and Buffalo Bills fan. He is predeceased by his infant sister, Carol Townsend.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Karen A. (Quigley) Townsend, his daughter, Katie (Ben) Daley, three sons, Greg, Eric and Sean (Megan) Townsend, two grandchildren, Jack and Maggie Daley, beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be private.
