Richard "Rick" J. Ward II, 70, of Liverpool, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Rick was born in Syracuse and was a lifetime resident of Liverpool. He retired as a Service Technician after 30 years at Sysco. Rick was a beloved equipment dad for the Liverpool High School Marching Band.

He is predeceased by his wife of 30 years Barbara Ward, mother, Marlene Ward, uncle and aunt Gary and Gloria Black.

Rick is survived by his children; David Ward, Chris Ward, and Rachel (Lily) Nave, his father, Richard "Ace" J. Ward, sister, Margaret Ward, uncle, Steven (Meg) Black, cousins, Christine (Jason) Black, Sarah Black, Jordyn Striano, John Black, Carolyn Black, and many more loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also a long-time friend of Bill W.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Liverpool, 300 Second St Liverpool, NY 13088. Funeral services and burial will be private in Liverpool Village Cemetery.
