Ricky Pereira, 72, of Liverpool, NY, and formerly of Vernon, NY, passed away on December 17, 2025 at The Cottages after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He was born in Columbus, OH on November 7, 1953 to the late Elmo and Rita (Lopez) Pereira. Ricky was a 1971 graduate of Rome Free Academy and a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College.

Ricky retired in 2014 after 25 years with Marcy Correctional Facility. He was an avid golfer at Rome Country Club and Domenico's Golf Course. Ricky was also a member of the bowling league at Marcy Correctional Facility.

Surviving to cherish Ricky's memory are his wife, Nancy (Iseneker) Pereira; stepchildren, Clare (Nathaniel) Maliwacki of Liverpool, NY, Timothy (Sarah) Gallien of Buffalo, NY and Jennifer (James) Bearup of Liverpool, NY and seven grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private.
