Rita Mary (LeBeau) Newton, 66, of Hastings, NY, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 peacefully at her home. She was born in Rochester, NY, was a graduate of Hilton Central High School, Class of '75, and has lived in Hastings for the past 22 years.  She spent much of her adult life in positions serving others.   She had an adventurous spirit for gardening, quilting, baby elephants at the zoo, making greeting cards, travel, swimming, roller coasters, skydiving, hot air ballooning, parasailing, and spending time with her loving family. She was an active participant of WELCA and other committees within her church.

She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas & Rose LeBeau, her brother, Raymond, and niece, Kim Singer.

Rita is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dean, her sons; Aaron (Heather), Patrick (Ellise) and Jeffrey (Melody), 2 sisters; Margaret Newton (Kenn Mapes) and Cheryl Clark, grandchildren; Joshua, Leah, Emma, Kellie, Hunter, great-grandchildren, Roman and Reid and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 210 Hazel Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Hospice Foundation of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
