Robert E. Darley of Phoenix, NY passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Crouse Hospital on Sunday at the age of 75. Bob was born in Peoria, Illinois and moved to Baldwinsville in 1978. He graduated from Parsons College where he met Dee, his wife of 54 years. Bob was a Renaissance man working throughout many noteworthy professions including coaching, construction, teaching, and sales. He spent most of his time after retirement with his horses, teaching his grandson the ins and outs of horse training and classic cars. Bob enjoyed traveling with Dee and loved to spend time with his granddaughters. He shared his love of the Chicago Bears with his daughter Holly and his love of animals with Kara. Bob will be lovingly remembered for his time spent inspiring those around him to be better people.  He is predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Robert Darley, his father-in-law Mario Mendes, and his son-in-law, Yanvari Hitt.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores "Dee" Darley, two daughters, Holly L. Hitt and Kara G. (Michael) Young, three grandchildren; MacKenzie Young, Sydney Young, and Michael Young II, his mother-in-law, Rose Mendes as well as his sister, Pam (Bob) Jaynes.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville with funeral services to follow at 5:00 pm.
