Robert L.
Foucart
September 23, 1934 – October 5, 2022
Robert Lewis Foucart went to be with his LORD October 5, 2022, at his home in Liverpool, New York. Born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania on September 23, 1934, he lived a full life surrounded by friends and family. Growing up he was a member of the drum and bugle corps, Sea Scouts, and his high school football, track and wrestling teams. After graduating from Williamsport High School in 1953, he worked as a machinist and first vice chairman in the family-owned J. E. Foucart Saw Works company his great grandfather started in the late 1800's. He later went on to work several additional jobs as a draftsman, project engineer and construction supervisor in Pennsylvania, Texas and New York. Throughout his career, he was a Chairman and Senior Member of the American Society of Tool and Manufacturing Engineers as well as several certifications in General Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering.
No matter what he undertook, he was most at home with his wood working. His garage was always full of tools and machines for which he made an abundance of toys, holiday decorations, and furniture of all sizes. His wood crafts were oftentimes sold at local art shows including specialty shops in the Thousand Islands. In his later years while working for St. Joseph's Hospital and after his retirement, summertime weekends were spent with friends and family at their campsites at Cross Lake and Clayton for which many a memory and lifelong friendships were made.
Robert was preceded in death by his father and mother, Boyd Lewis Foucart and Helen Ranck, brothers; John, Richard and Kenny and former wife, Carol Hoover.
Surviving members of his family are his wife, Marilyn Foucart. Together they spent 35 years of fun and marriage. Also surviving are sons; Steve and Jeff, stepsons; John and Scott, grandchildren; McKenzie, Robbie, Arnold, Justin and Alex and great-grandchildren; Meredith and Mayla.
