Rose Marie (Gee) Wentworth, 93, of Clay, NY, passed away on Tuesday, just one day before her 94th birthday. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter to the late Lawrence and Wilhelmine (Gaske) Gee. Rose met her husband, Edward Wentworth, while working at the Will & Baumer Candle Factory. The couple married in 1954 and together they raised their six children in Clay, NY. Rose retired in 1991 from Will & Baumer Candle Company, after 39 years of dedicated service. She was proud of her hard work, hand decorating paschal candles that were shipped around the world, including the Vatican in Rome. Rose also served as Union Secretary and Treasurer during her time with her company.

Family meant everything to Rose. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed camping, crafting, gardening, and babysitting her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward in 2010, her sister, Wilma Hulbert in 1997 and brother, Norman Gee in 2025.

Rose Marie is survived by her children: three daughters, Alice Wentworth (Tim), Annette (Michael) Alexander, and Tina (Eugene) Cochran III, three sons, Edward (Marjorie) Wentworth, Jr., James (Sheila) Wentworth and David (Kay) Wentworth, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville with funeral services to follow at 12:00 pm. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
