Obituary

Roseann Ross-Werner, 88, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Roseann was born in Syracuse, lived in California, Colorado and Maryland, but most recent in her beloved family home which overlooked Onondaga Lake, in Liverpool, NY.

After years of working for General Electric, both in Syracuse and California, she became an Avon District Manager, an Onondaga Co. Parks employee that did the educational tour at the Salt Museum, and a Mary's Pantry (Immaculate Heart of Mary) volunteer. Roseann's legacy will be cherished by her family and friends, who remember her kindness, fun-loving spirit and vibrant personality.

She retired to enjoy playing bingo, going to the casino, spending time with family and friends, and her dogs.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Werner; her parents, James and Margaret (Giannuzzi) Ross and her brother, Anthony J. Ross.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her three nephews, James (Annie), Michael (Ilona) and Anthony, a great-nephew, Jim, her great-nieces, Ruby and Emily and several cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm with a funeral service to follow at 5:30 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
