Rosemary Elizabeth (Simat) Gotham, 94, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully at home on Friday. She had been a life-long Syracuse area resident, living in Liverpool the past 59 years. Rosemary enjoyed a career in retail sales in the bridal and jewelry departments, retiring from Dey Brothers. She was a former active parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool. Rosemary was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in North Syracuse, the Golden Ages and St. Joseph's, St. Daniel's and Salina Seniors. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward A. Gotham in 2009, her daughter, Diane Marie Hunter in 2021 and her beloved dog, Buddy.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carol A. Chorley of DeWitt, NY, four grandchildren; John Hunter, Michael Chorley, Brian (Kati) Chorley, Elizabeth (Shawn) Best and five great-grandchildren; Leah, Rilyn, Joanna, Brycen and Madelyn.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St. Liverpool, NY 13088, with funeral services to follow at 5:00 pm. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
