Ruth M. Denny, 93, of Baldwinsville, peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born on September 13, 1932 in Schenectady, NY. She graduated from high school in 1950 and began working at General Electric, where she met her beloved husband, Neil. The two were married in 1955 and soon began building their life and family together in Liverpool, NY. She devoted her early years to raising her three children, supporting them in all of their activities.

Ruth’s greatest joy was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was the heart of every family gathering, hosting nearly every holiday and family reunion and always ready for a good party—and often a little shenanigan or two. Ruth loved a celebration and was never afraid to join in the fun. She was loving, generous, outspoken, and wonderfully sassy.

Ruth later worked for the Liverpool Central School District for many years as both a school aide and bus driver. She loved keeping busy and enjoyed being involved with the Liverpool Booster Club, gardening, playing tennis, golfing at Beaver Meadows, tailgating, and attending SU games at Archbold Stadium.

Family vacations held a special place in Ruth’s heart, particularly trips to Ogunquit, Maine, and Myrtle Beach. She loved to travel, making special trips to Mexico, Italy, and Australia to visit her children and grandchildren and create lasting memories together.

Ruth stayed active and volunteered for many years at the McHarrie Community, a place that would later become her home. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at McHarrie Pointe for the dedicated care they provided to Ruth and for embracing her spirited and feisty personality.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Neil Denny; her infant brother, Robert Livingston; and her parents, Rev. K. David Livingston and Frances Livingston.

Her memory will be cherished by her three children, Gregg (Grace) Denny of Leeds, Alabama; Mark (Lori) Denny of Cicero, New York; and Vicki (Marcel) Voyer of Baldwinsville, New York; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Denny, Jill Crisafi, Stephanie (Albert) Alant, Samantha (Dave) Miller, Melissa Voyer, Michelle Voyer, and Joshua Voyer; six great-grandchildren; and a special cousin who was like a sister to her, Dorothy Simms.

Ruth will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in every family gathering, every holiday tradition, every story that begins with “Remember when Ruth…,” and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY. A Christian memorial service celebrating Ruth’s life will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
