It is with great sadness to share that our mother, Ruth Patricia O'Connell passed away on January 17, 2023 after suffering for 7 years from the complications of Dementia. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. O'Connell who died in 2015.

Ruth was the adored mother of seven children: Michael (Pat) of St. George Island, FL, Bob (Elaine) of Las Vegas, NV, Paul (Ellie) of Pompano Beach, FL, Mary (Hugh) McCabe of Baldwinsville, NY, Joe (Angela) of Fayetteville, AR, Jackie (Chris) O'Connell - Bagnati of Ivor, VA, Patty (Chip) Stewart  of Cortland, NY. Cherished grandmother of Brian, Chad, Molly, Kaitlin, Megan, Christopher, Mark, and Allie. Loving great-grandmother of Declan, Charlotte, Kelsey, Finley, and Maggie.

Treasured friend by many who were lucky enough to have known her.

Ruth's family would like to extend immeasurable thanks and love to all of the staff at McHarrie Life / Syracuse Home where our parents resided at various levels since 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11:00am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cortland, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Food Pantry.
