Sarah "Sally"
H. Yarwood
December 20, 1927 – January 29, 2022
Sarah "Sally" H. Yarwood, 94, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was a native and life resident of the Syracuse area. Raised on a farm, Sally was always a hard worker and knew how to make the most out of little. As a young adult she and her friends travelled the country on a shoestring budget. Sally was a founding member of the Liverpool Community Chorus and a regular blood donor for the American Red Cross, donating over 10 gallons. She was a passionate gardener and found great joy in planting flowers at St. Joseph the Worker Church where she was a communicant and sang in the church funeral choir.
Family was very important to Sally and she was proud to adopt her two children and cherished being involved in their lives. Her dedication to her family extended into her grandchildren's lives as well.
Sally is survived by her daughter, Marta Loomis of Liverpool, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Christine Yarwood of Bridgewater, NJ; four grandchildren, Alanson, Anna, Caila and Camryn and many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be Friday, February 4, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip St. Liverpool, NY 13088. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
Contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Church Food Pantry or please consider donating blood in her memory.
Sally's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of her caregivers who treated with her with such kindness and compassion.
Please sign the funeral home on-line guestbook for Sarah to express your condolences to her family.
