Scott Alan Roberts, 64, of Cicero, NY, passed away on Wednesday at home. He was born in Syracuse, NY on September 3, 1959.  Although afflicted with cerebral palsy since birth, Scott's unwavering spirit inspired us all.

Despite physical limitations and extremely challenging circumstances throughout his life, Scott radiated warmth and kindness, embodying an angelic presence on earth with never a hint of anger or resentment. His quiet strength, gentle demeanor and infectious laughter reminded us of the beauty of every moment, no matter the circumstances.

Although we mourn the loss of his presence in our life, we also celebrate his physical release from this earthly realm, knowing that at last his spirit is free from all limitations and he can join the loving members of his family that have passed before him.

Scott is predeceased by his parents, Louise Ariola and James W. Roberts III, grandmother, Beatrice Simmons and housemates, Anna Vicari and Carol Lynch.

Surviving are his brothers; Eric J. Roberts (Andrea), Mark C. Roberts (Cathy) and sister, Lynn Chapman. Also surviving are Danny Bracy, Scott's roommate for 30 years, truly his brother by love and former caregiver, Melanie Wicks, who is a sister in love and part of Scott's family.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, with a short remembrance service to follow at 5:30 pm for those interested in attending, at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Private burial will take place in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
