Shane L Straight, 69 of Baldwinsville NY, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side, on July 15, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Olean, NY later his family settled in Liverpool NY. He graduated from Liverpool high school and served in the US Navy.

Shane worked at US Airways as a Ramp Service Supervisor, working there he was able to enjoy traveling and visiting family and friends. He retired from there after a 20-year career.  Shane enjoyed golfing and gardening in the summer months. His winter hobbies were knife making, wood working and cooking.  He is predeceased by his father, Lewis Straight, grandson, Frank Barney, and brother-in-law, Thomas Kennedy.

He is survived by his devoted partner and wife of 30 years Claire Kennedy, stepdaughter, Angela (Jeremy) Barney, grandchildren, Hunter and Ariel Barney, his mother, Patricia Straight, brothers, Michael (Debra) Straight and Timothy (Maria) Straight, sister-in-law, Debra (Carlos) Camaraza, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and beloved cats, Donald and Barnaby.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31 Baldwinsville, New York 13027.   A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.
