Sharon Haahr Gausman, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer that spanned more than 25 years. She was born on July 26, 1951, and was a longtime resident of Liverpool, New York.

Sharon graduated from Liverpool High School in 1969 and went on to earn her degree as a registered dental hygienist from Onondaga Community College in 1972. She dedicated her career to helping others with her warm smile and gentle touch.

Sharon's life was filled with love and joy, especially when she spent time with her beloved grandchildren. She was known for her strong faith, her love of the great outdoors, and her exceptional apple pie. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with family at Grandpa Jewell's cabin up north, particularly enjoying cross-country skiing and tapping the maple trees.

Sharon is predeceased by her father, Erwin Jewell; her mother, Margaret (William) Barclay; and her grandson, Adam Haahr.

She is survived by her husband, Reverend Raymond H. Gausman, her stepmother, Marge Jewell, her children; Andrea (Albert) Scerbo and David (Erica) Haahr, her grandchildren; Natalie and Jacob Scerbo and Ethan Haahr and her siblings; Roberta Walker, Jay (Bonnie) Jewell, and Byron (Mila) Cadwell.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 am. Private burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sharon's memory to Golisano Children's Hospital.

Sharon's warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.
