Shirley Joyce (Bean) Moore-Krackhardt, 89, of Liverpool, NY and residing at Elderwood at Liverpool, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. She was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Horace and Laura (Schuyler) Bean. She received her Master of Divinity from Colgate Rochester Crozer School of Divinity. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Science and Nursing degrees from Syracuse University.
Shirley retired as Rev. Shirley Moore-Krackhardt, Ordained Deacon and Chaplain with the United Methodist Church. She was a founding member of Hospice of CNY and of the Finger Lakes, former organ and pianist at Cedarvale United Methodist Church and a life-long member of the United Methodist Church. Shirley enjoyed her visitations with people at homes and nursing homes, reading, sewing and playing board and card games. She is predeceased by her husband of 15 years, James F. Moore and husband of 35 years, Elliot M. Krackhardt, her brother, Leonard Bean and stepson, Peter Krackhardt.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, James (Andrea) F. Moore of Wilmington, DE, two daughters, Julie (Mark) Ausbrooks of Ft Collins, CO, Joyce Moore (Erik Vognild) of Tomball, TX, two stepdaughters, Debra Krackhardt of Syracuse, NY and Diane FitzGibbons of Baldwinsville, NY, her brother, Richard (Linda) P. Bean of Port Richey, FL, her sister, Janet R. Williams of Syracuse, NY, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 6 nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Liverpool First United Methodist Church, 604 Oswego Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shirley's memory can be made to Hospice of CNY and of the Finger Lakes, 990 7th N. Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
