Obituary

Shirley Ann (Kompe) Nordheim, 99, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday. She was born in Bowling Green, OH, daughter of the late Earl F. and Eleanor (Beverstock) Kompe. Shirley grew in up Syracuse and attended Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Nordheim, Sr., a blessed union of 70 years. Shirley worked as a Medical Secretary for the Syracuse VA Medical Center. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Shirley will be remembered as the matriarch of the family. She was a loving mother and her family's wellbeing was the focus of her life. She is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Nordheim, Sr., her son, Kenneth Nordheim, Jr., her daughter, earlier this month, Carol Anne Husenitza and sister, Virginia Candee.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, Gary M. (Erlinda) Nordheim, son-in-law, Peter P. Husenitza, daughter-in-law, Melinda Nordheim, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and her beloved cat, Scooter.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with burial in Riverview Cemetery in Baldwinsville, NY.
