Stephen F. King, Jr., 84, of Tucson, AZ passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.  He was born in Albany, NY to Stephen F. King, Sr. and Anna Grace Johnson King in 1937. He grew up in Cooperstown, NY and was a graduate of Cooperstown High School and he attended Penn State. He was US Army Sargent in Germany during the closing of the Brandenburg Gate.

After the service he resided in DeRuyter, NY and was employed in Syracuse, NY by Haines Sales Corp. as a manufacturer's representative, where he spent 36 fun and rewarding years.  As the president of the Ruritan Civic Club, he established the Cortland County Rural Health Services and started the very early utilization of Physicians Assistants in remote settings.

In 1988 Steve married Patricia Miller and they enjoyed their honeymoon of 34 years. After his retirement, Steve and Patricia relocated to Tucson, AZ where he became President of the Board of Directors of Far Horizons Mobile Home Estates and was very active in the community.  He and Pat especially enjoyed running the BINGO. Steve attended St. Cyril of Alexandria Church in Tucson where he was past President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and ran the food pantry.

He is pre-deceased by his sister, Susan Elkan.

Steve is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Rachel King Blue; son, Stephen F. King III; step-children, Kelly Smith, Karen McClary & David Chrostowski; sister, Sandra K. Richmond; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and extended family.

Calling hours will be Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc., 300 Second St., Liverpool, NY 13088. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Monday, April 11, 2022 in Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY 13090 with The Rite of Committal and burial to follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Baldwinsville, NY.
