Susan Mary Southworth, 74, of Liverpool, NY, departed this life on May 25, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.

Susan was born in Erie PA, a daughter to the late Anthony and Mona Sorze. A lifelong adventurer, she relished her independence as she aged. She loved gardening, table top games, travel, and the outdoors.  Closer to home, Susan enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  In her later years, you could find her on daily walks through the Village of Liverpool with her dog, Cody. Susan was an active member of Calvary Chapel Syracuse, where she helped many to strengthen their relationship with God.

Susan graduated from Villa Maria Academy High School and OCC with an Associates in Applied Science. She was employed at ADR Consulting ('82-'85), Basic Software, Inc. ('85-'96), American Music Group Ltd. ('96-'05), ESO Software, and her business, SMS Consulting Services.

Because of her unwavering faith, kindness & compassion, she has created a lasting legacy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son.

Susan is survived by her children, Robert (Pamela) Southworth of  Phoenix, NY and Stephen M. (Erin) Southworth of Liverpool, NY; brother, Michael [death 5/26/22] (Darlene) Sorze of Girard, PA;  sister, Sandra (David) Gribble of Mifflin, PA; previous husband ('68 – '87), Robert Southworth of  Baldwinsville, NY; six grandchildren, Stephen, Alex, Aiden, Sheriden, Regan and Mason, along with her beloved dog, Cody.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a service to immediately follow at 6:00 pm in Calvary Chapel Syracuse, 103 Grampian Road, Liverpool, NY 13090.
