Susanne (Hourigan) Rossiter, 83, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday at Francis House. She was born in Syracuse, NY a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Richardson) Hourigan. Susanne graduated from Nottingham High School, Class of 1958 and finished her education at Le Moyne College receiving her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Sue was one of the first women employed at General Electric in Syracuse as a Computer Programmer. On June 28, 1969 she married Robert J. Rossiter, a blessed union of 50 years until his passing in 2020. A life-long parishioner of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sue served as Eucharistic Minister and was a member of The Legion of Mary. She volunteered at Meals on Wheels, enjoyed sewing and knitting, Home Bureau, the Bunco Group and the ETC Club of Bayberry. Sue is also predeceased by her Uncle George and Aunt Margaret Richardson, brother-in-law, David Rossiter and nephew, Scott Rossiter.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Christine Margaret Rossiter, three sisters; Elizabeth (Robert) Leroux, Margaret Hourigan, Anne (Andrew) Smart, niece, Kathryn (Richard) Leroux-Trewin, nephew, Kevin Leroux, cousin, M. Catherine Richardson, sister-in-law, Helen Ann Rossiter, nephew Brian Rossiter, a great niece and nephew and several cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 259 E. Onondaga St. Syracuse, NY 13202. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
