Suzanne J. Sargent, 90, of Liverpool, NY passed away March 23, 2023.  Suzanne was born in Syracuse, NY and has lived in Liverpool for over 63 years.  She retired after 20 years of service as a Bus Driver/Aide with the Liverpool Central School District.  She was a Graduate of Liverpool High School and CCBI Business School.  Suzanne was an avid bowler and golfer and a member of many leagues.  She was a sports fan, particularly enjoyed Syracuse baseball, Syracuse University basketball and tennis.

Sue was an exceptionally wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She never turned down a call for help from one of her kids or her grandson.  She could also be very funny and enjoyed the laughter that often occurred at the family dinner table.  She learned how to be a great cook from her mother, Ida May Klase, and her love of sports from her father, Ed Klase.  She made many great friends while working at the Liverpool Central School District Transportation Center.  Those friendships lasted for decades after her retirement.

She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Richard J. Sargent.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters; Barbara (Timothy) Chura of Homosassa, Fl, Sheri Sargent and Tammi (Thomas) Meaney both of Mattydale, NY, grandson, Kevin (Elizabeth Volles) Chura of North Syracuse, and a niece and nephew.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St., Liverpool, NY 13088 with funeral services to follow at 4:00 pm.  Burial will take place on Tuesday July 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the White Chapel Memory Garden Cemetery in Dewitt.
