March 24, 1941 – April 20, 2025
Thomas J. Coughlin, III, 84, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Liverpool. He and his wife Christina loved spending their summers at their residence in Long Lake, NY. Tom worked as a police officer for the East Syracuse Police Department as well as the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department. He later went to work for the Carrier Corporation where he retired as a foreman after many years of service. After his retirement from Carrier Corporation, he went on to work as a Security Officer at the NY State Fairgrounds where his co-workers became more like family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, going for rides, and loved all kinds of wild life especially his dogs whom he cherished. Most of all Tom loved spending time with his loving family and friends.
Tom is predeceased by his loving wife Christina, and his parents, Thomas and Shirley Coughlin.
He is survived by his daughters, Christine (Dave) Foster and Laurie VanBramer-Harmer (Jeff) Harmer, granddaughter Ashley (Antwan) Bailey, sister, Deborah (David) DiCarlo, and a niece, a nephew, and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY 13090 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Long Lake Cemetery, Stone Road, Long Lake, NY.
