Timothy J. Ganey, of Liverpool, NY, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service and a community brightened by his presence.

A stalwart first responder, Tim dedicated over 50 years of his life to protecting and serving the public across multiple agencies. He began his career as a Nuclear Firefighter with the Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation at Nine Mile before transitioning into law enforcement as a Deputy with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office. Tim eventually brought his vast expertise to SUNY Upstate Medical University, SUNY Oswego and the Dormitory Association of New York State, where he served with distinction as a Fire Marshal and Code Enforcement Officer.

Beyond his professional accolades, Tim was a man who truly lit up the room. He was known for his genuine smile and a unique ability to bring laughter to any gathering. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family.

Tim was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debora; his children, Sara, Christopher, Elizabeth (Todd); and his two cherished granddaughters Kennedy and Charlotte. He also leaves behind two brothers and three sisters, who will forever remember his warmth and humor.

A celebration to honor Tim's life and service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Baldwinsville Volunteer Fire Company, Station 1, 7911 Crego Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.

In recognition of his five decades of service, the family suggests donations be made to The Baldwinsville Volunteer Fire Company or the Deputy Sheriffs Benevolent Association-Deputy David Clark Memorial Scholarship, 6443 Ridings Road Suite 112, Syracuse NY 13206 in his memory.
