Obituary

Timothy Patrick Murphy, 65, of Central Square, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, while doing what he loved most—working outdoors. Born in Syracuse, Tim spent most of his life in Central New York. Throughout his life, he worked hard, enjoyed nature, and put his family first. He was the proud owner of Tim Murphy Landscaping, as well as All Mixed Up and All Fed Up. He took great pride in his work and built his businesses on honesty, hard work, and a commitment to doing the job right.

Tim appreciated the simple things in life. He loved golfing, skiing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a lifelong fan of the Orange, Packers, Yankees, and Knicks. Above all, Tim was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, mentor, and friend. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He built many lifelong friendships through his work and was grateful for the people who stood beside him throughout the years.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, LuAnn Murphy; his sons, Tyler (Ronnie) Murphy and Cody (Ariel) Murphy; his beloved dogs, Teddy and Jojo; his brother, Jack (Kathy) Murphy, Jr.; his 2 nephews, Shawn (Jessica) Murphy and Jason (Maureen) Murphy; his niece, Shannon (Jimmy) Murphy; his great-nephew, Dillon Murphy; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and lifelong family friends. He also leaves behind his dear friends and coworkers, Billy Anderson and Randy Skilinski, whose friendship and loyalty meant so much to him. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack F. Murphy, Sr. and Arlene R. Murphy.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July, 25, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A private celebration of his life will be held by his family at a future date and time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tim’s name may be made to CNYSPCA.

Tim will be remembered for his hard work, his kindness, his love of the outdoors, his famous Irish exits, his ability to crack a joke, and for always saying what was on his mind. He passed doing what he loved, and his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Please sign the Maurer Funeral Home on-line guestbook for Tim to express your condolences to his family.
