Valerie (Malecki) Hart, 70, a life-long resident of CNY, died unexpectedly at her home in Baldwinsville, NY on January 30, 2026.

Valerie was born on June 7, 1955, in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Agnes S. (Krupka) Malecki and Chester W. Malecki. She was baptized at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and fondly recollected her early years at the Sacred Heart School. Valerie graduated from Henninger HS in 1973 and began her career in the supermarket industry and later as a dental administrative assistant. She ultimately found her professional niche at McLane Northeast, where she diligently spent nearly 20 years as a Customer Service Representative.

Valerie was an exceptionally compassionate and caring person to family and friends. Her selflessness, warmth and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. She found her soul-mate and married Larry Hart in 1987, sharing his joy of the outdoors and peaceful evenings with a cold beer on the Seneca River, only to have him sadly pass away in 2003. Valerie was also a notable dog lover, with a special affinity for the three Labrador Retrievers she owned in succession.

Valerie is survived by her brother, Steve Malecki of Parker, Colorado, his wife, Kimberly and nephews, Cade and Gage. She is also survived by members of the extended Hart family, along with friends and neighbors who provided care and support in the years since her husband's passing.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville, NY 13027 with a funeral service at 11:00 am. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
