Valerie B. (McKoon) Koll, 72, of Memphis, NY passed away on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. She was born in East Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Vern and Joyce (Burnette) McKoon. Valerie was raised in Mentor, OH attending Mentor High School. It was there she met her high school sweetheart and love of her life. On June 29, 1968 she was united in marriage to Robert J. Koll, Jr., a blessed union of 53 years. After coming to the Syracuse area, she continued her education obtaining her Bachelor's degree from Lemoyne College and Masters of Science in Education at SUNY Oswego. Valerie was employed as an English Teacher and Academic Dean, retiring from the West Genesee Central School District. She was active in the Girl Scouts, enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling and spending quality time with her family. She is predeceased by her sister, Linda Beckett.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Robert J. Koll, Jr. of Memphis, NY, two daughters, Kimberly (Sean) Barry of Camillus, NY and Amanda (Kevin) Caldwell of Baldwinsville, NY, four grandchildren; Jacob Barry, Kylee Barry, Mackenzie Caldwell, Jackson Caldwell, her brother, Scott McKoon of Fairport, OH, many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville with funeral services to follow at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or Jordan Ambulance Service.
