Vicki Lynn Parvese (née Godfrey), 60, of Richland, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with stage 4 colon cancer.

Born on October 12, 1964, Vicki brought warmth, creativity, and compassion to every aspect of her life. She built a long and successful career in the food industry, where she found great joy in sharing her love of cooking with others. Whether catering events for loved ones or teaching students as a Culinary Arts teacher in the Syracuse City School District, Vicki's passion for food and community touched countless lives.

Vicki is survived by her loving daughter, Breanne L. (Anthony) Butchino, beloved grandson, Kaleb Butchino, her father, William Godfrey Sr.; her siblings, William Godfrey Jr., Valerie Martin, and Shaun Godfrey; one niece; and several nephews. She is predeceased by her mother, Donna Godfrey and her sister, Wendy Godfrey.

Vicki's strength, generosity, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Half-Shire Historical Society, located at 1100 County Route 48, Richland, NY 13144. All who knew and loved Vicki are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Vicki's memory to The Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracuse, which partners with the Syracuse City School District to offer culinary workforce training programs. This cause reflects Vicki's lifelong dedication to empowering others through food and education.
