Victor L. Yerdon, 96, of Phoenix, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday at home, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Redfield, NY, son to the late Andy and Clarissa (Gibbs) Yerdon. Victor enjoyed a 45 year career as a mechanic. He started with the Carrier Corporation and retired from the Phoenix Central School District after over 24 years of employment. After his retirement, Victor went back to work for B&Q Trucking. On February 6, 1971 he was united in marriage to the former Darlene R. Georgeff, a blessed union of 54 years. He has been a resident of Phoenix, NY since 1952.

Victor loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and his 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser Convertible. He loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter into his 90s. He is predeceased by his four brothers.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Darlene R. Yerdon of Phoenix, NY; two sons, Lyle D. (Christi) Sharkey of Phoenix, NY and Lancing V. (Denise) Yerdon of Lysander, NY; four daughters, Michelle (Arthur) Halstead of Palermo, NY Danielle Whelsky of Pagosa Springs, CO, Kristy Tisdale of Springfield, MA and Nichole (Paul) Smith of Phoenix, NY; l5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville, NY 13027. The Rite of Committal and burial will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 10:00 am in Greenboro Cemetery, 595 Old State Road, Redfield, NY 13437.
