Vincent Joseph Mitchell, 93 of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025.  He attended Brooklyn Technical High School and Fordham University on a 4-year baseball scholarship where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Physics and was invited for tryouts to the Yankees and Giants professional baseball teams. After graduation from Fordham University, Vincent went to work at North American Aviation in California and later attended the University of Cincinnati earning his Master's degree in Physics.  He worked as an Engineer for General Electric in Liverpool, NY for 45 years before retiring.

Vincent enjoyed playing tennis, fishing, painting, photography, bowling and cruising in his 1955 Ford Thunderbird.  He volunteered his time for the Boys Scouts of America Troop 101.

He is predeceased by his mother, Rose Mayer, father, Joseph Oleskowicz and stepfather, Louis Mayer.

Vincent is survived by his wife of 71 years, Stephanie (Fedyk) Mitchell, his sons; Vince (Elizabeth) Mitchell of Marysville, WA, Ken (Jeanine) Mitchell of Hilton, NY and Donald (Jackie) Mitchell of Burlington, MA. Four grandchildren; Vincent, John, Kara and Kenny Mitchell, step-grandchildren; Amada Funiciello, AJ Funiciello, Landon Funiciello, Lindsay Funiciello, Kevin Dee, Howard Tseng, Joy Dee, Jannah Dee and Kaylyn Cook, great-grandchildren, Gavin Mitchell and Beau Mitchell, step-great-grandchildren; Oliver Funiciello, Bella Funiciello, Elliot DePeters and Keira Tseng and brother-in-law, Paul Fedyk.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 with funeral services to follow at 6:00 pm.
