Obituary

Virginia M. Sunheimer, 100, of Liverpool, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital.  Virginia was born on November 6, 1924 in Herkimer, NY and has lived in Liverpool for over 70 years.  She retired from the Liverpool Central School District where she worked for many years as a Teacher's Aide at Craven Crawford Elementary.  She was a past member of the Liverpool Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and worked as an Election Inspector for many years. Virginia was affectionately known by her family as "Grandma Heimer" and "Omi." Virginia and her husband Tom cherished their annual trips to Ocean Reef Villas in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  Virginia enjoyed playing Bunko, her monthly luncheon dates "with the girls", and spending time with her special friends throughout the neighborhood.

She is predeceased by Thomas, her husband of 64 years, daughter, Robin, granddaughter, Kelly and son-in-law Dennis.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Robert (Bonny) Sunheimer of Syracuse, NY; daughters, Sandy (David) Scott of Fern Park, FL; Denise Sadonis of Philadelphia, PA and Janice (Doug) Ross of Liverpool, NY, beloved grandchildren; Robin, Kevin, Kristin, Mark, Lindsey, Brian, Michael, Tyler, great-grandchildren; Connor, Sarah, Brayden, Austin, Willa, Anna, George, niece, Carol Parker and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of Virginia's life will be held at a later date.
