Walter "Tom" Novak, 84, of Solvay, passed away October 7, 2021 at Crouse Hospital.  Mr. Novak was a graduate of Solvay High School Class of 55'.  He owned and operated the family business Abell Press Printing in Solvay for many years.  He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1960 -1966.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent his summers at his camp on the St. Lawrence River. He made many trips to the Kesagami Lake Lodge in Canada.  He was a Lionel Train collector, big fan of Rock & Roll music, and was a coach for many years at Midstate Youth Hockey. Walter was a member of The Solvay Tigers.  He is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Luella Novak.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia, children, Thomas Novak, Karen Clemente and Timothy Novak, grandchildren; Christina, Nicholas, Logan and Brody, who were his pride and joy.  He loved going to their sporting events and all their other activities.

Funeral services will be private.  Walter will be entombed at the Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Warners, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter's memory can be made to: Solvay Geddes Community Youth Center.
