June 1, 1951 – January 30, 2023
Wayne M. Stever, 71, of Northville, NY formerly of Liverpool and Pompey passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at his home. Wayne was born and raised in Liverpool, NY. He was a graduate of Liverpool High School BOCES Class of 1970. He retired in 2004 from Niagara Mohawk where he worked in building Maintenance and Construction for 35 years. Wayne served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of the Liverpool Fire Department. One of his greatest hobbies was carpentry. He was always there to lend a hand with his expertise in building and construction projects. Wayne loved traveling to all the Disney locations and cruises. He served as a Eucharistic Minister in his church and loved spending time with his loving family, friends, and serving as the emotional support person for his beloved dog Cooper.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Stever who died in 2022.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Patricia (Darby) Stever, daughter, Tiffany (Charles) Munford, granddaughter, Kali Lynn Stever, brother, James (Brenda) Stever, 2 sisters; Bonita (Norman) Gauthier and Sue Ellen (Larry) Earle and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Maurer Funeral Home, Inc., 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday, February 6, 2023 at Epiphany Parish at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 425 Beechwood Avenue, Liverpool, NY 13088 followed by the Rite of Committal and burial in Assumption Cemetery.
