William "Bill" Dann, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.  Bill was born in Syracuse, New York, on August 12, 1942 to the late Milton and Margaret Dann.  He was a skilled artist in many different mediums and he also enjoyed some photography.  In his youth, Bill's family moved to Hollywood, Florida, where he met his wife, Priscilla, before returning to Central NY, where they raised their four children.  Bill was a branch manager for Merchants National Bank and Trust, later OnBank and M&T Bank, in Liverpool, NY and was active in the community as a member of the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs.

Bill was a dog lover who had many dogs throughout the years.  On more than one occasion his family would find a stray in the garage that Bill had picked up.  Most recently, his closest companion was a Bassett Hound mix named Charlie Ann Dann.  The sparkle in his eyes, however, were his grandchildren; Steven, Samantha, Matthew, Jack, Bradyn, Sean, Emily, Brandon, Gionna, Melaina and Eliana, and his great-grandchildren Meredith and Maddox.  Bill was preceded in death by his wife Priscilla, brother, Robert, and daughter, Cathy.

He is survived by his sons, Steven (Bonnie) and Mike (Maureen), daughter Cindy, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St., Liverpool, NY 13088. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
