William Arnold Haase, 91, of Jamesville, NY passed away on Thursday, at the Nottingham. He was born in Plainfield, NJ, on August 19, 1932, the son of the late William C. and Edith A. (Arnold) Haase.  Bill attended Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA where he earned his Bachelor of Arts and Science degree. A proud LT US Navy Veteran, he served on the USS Bryce Canyon during the Korean war.  Bill worked for General Electric Company for 39 years as a Marketing Communications Manager.

He served as an usher for 70 years at Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove, NJ.  Bill was a Boy Scout Leader, avid fisherman and a lifeguard at Ocean Grove.  He also enjoyed being a model electric train hobbyist. Bill will always be remembered as a man of strong faith. He was dedicated to his family, friends and his church community.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years, Ruth G. Haase, son, Paul W. Haase, of Huntington Beach, CA, daughter, Diane H. (John J.) Penella, Jr. of Utica, NY, 2 grandsons; John J. Penella II of Albany, NY and John J. Barthel of Huntington Beach, CA, 2 granddaughters; Jori S. Haase, M.D. of SanDiego, CA and Chrissy D.J. Haase of Amsterdam, Holland, great-granddaughter, Delain Joyce Barthel, great-grandson, David William Haase and brother-in-law, Richard G. Goewey of Syracuse, NY.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Northminster Presbyterian Church, 7444 Buckley Rd., North Syracuse, NY 13212 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 am.
