William "Bill" A. Meeks, 84, of Liverpool died April 12, 2022 at home after a short illness.  He was born to the late Mabel and Leon Meeks in Charleston, WV on May 24, 1937.

Bill grew up in Mexico, NY, graduating from high school in 1955.  After marrying his wife, Sharon, they lived in California for 10 years before returning to New York, and enjoyed living in Bayberry for the last 41 years.

He enjoyed many endeavors in his career, including selling mobile homes, working in electronics in Silicon Valley, driving tractor trailers and limousines, as well as owning a video store.

Bill was an avid fast pitch softball pitcher and golfer.  He enjoyed traveling with Sharon, going out to dinner and casinos and partying with his many friends and family.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends…. especially his granddaughter and their pickleback shots together.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Charlene Tilby and son, William J. Meeks.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sharon (Ruby) Meeks; sons, Robert "Bob" Meeks (Jenie)  and Peter Nellis (Colette); granddaughters, Meghan Sims (Jay), Ashley Meeks and Heather Meeks; grandson, Peter Nellis; several great-grandchildren; brother, Leon Meeks (Linda); sisters, Lee Winter (Kevin)  and Jackie Emeigh (Perry); brothers-in-law, Willy Ruby (Janet)  and Carl Ruby (Sherry); sister-in-law, Carol Ruby; his canine companion, Abbey, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4:00 pm at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
