Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of William P. O'Keefe, Jr., on February 7, 2025, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend. Known for his warmth, kindness, and unmistakable presence, Bill's impact on those around him is immeasurable and will be deeply felt for years to come.

William was a 1965 graduate of Niagara University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. For over 60 years he worked as a Certified Public Accountant.  He enjoyed golfing, coaching Little League and softball. He was a member of a Model Airplane Club, had his pilot license, and he took piano lessons and voice lessons.

For decades, Bill was the steadfast anchor of our family, a man whose love and dedication touched every corner of our lives. Over the years, his name became a topic of admiration among friends and neighbors, with countless heartfelt inquiries about "How's your dad?" or "How's Bill?" reflecting the deep respect and joy he brought to those who knew him.

Raised an only child, Bill thrived amidst the beautiful chaos of his growing family, cherishing every moment of connection within the bustling circles of his children and their friends. His boundless love extended to his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Boppa," a name warmly spoken not only by family but friends in their lives as well. He was their greatest supporter, cheering them on through every artistic endeavor and athletic accomplishment over the past twenty years.

Bill was not only a presence in his family's lives but also a beloved figure in his community. From his active involvement in his church to his role as a caring neighbor and loyal friend, he leaves behind a legacy defined by generosity, genuine connection, and the comfort he brought to those around him.

While we are devastated by his sudden loss, we take solace in knowing that the warmth and love he shared will forever live on in the lives he touched. Whether you were family, a friend, or complete stranger, he always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. William P. O'Keefe, Jr. was a man whose light shone brightly, and his memory will continue to guide us all.

He is predeceased by his parents, William and Mildred O'Keefe, Sr.

O'Keefe, his children: Joseph (Lori) O'Keefe, Julie (Yong) Sul, Elizabeth (Garrett) Quackenbush, William (Autumn) O'Keefe, Erin (Robert) Lindsay, James (Jessica) O'Keefe, grandchildren: Hayley, Eavan, Will, Owen, Liam, Xavier, Emerson, Olivia, Siena, Ryan, Griffin, Zachary.
