Ying Sun, 93, of Liverpool, NY passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 surrounded by his family. Ying was born in China and was in the Air Force in Taiwan before moving to the United States in 1982. He was a Chef with Hunan Empire in Liverpool, NY.  He loved the outdoors, especially taking walks and working in his gardens. Ying was known for his kind and mild-mannered ways and was devoted to his family.  He is predeceased by his wife, Feng Liu Sun and a sister.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Helen Sun and Mary Sun of Liverpool, NY; two sons, Han Ching (Jin-Wang) Sun of Cicero, NY and Han Chieh (Ching Yun Chen) Sun of Liverpool, NY; a sister; two brothers; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.  Private burial will be at the Buddhist Center in Carmel, NY.
