Yvonne L. Saarie, 78, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late William and Eunice (Baxter) Meeks. On June 18, 1966 she was united in marriage to the Peter A. Saarie, a blessed union of 58 years. Yvonne was a registrar for many years with the Baldwinsville Central School District.  She loved gardening, bird watching, and walking with her grand-dog, Nala. Yvonne's focus was family, whether taking cruises with her husband or spending time with her grandchildren.

Yvonne is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Peter Saarie.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her two sons, Joe (Linda) Saarie of Phoenix, NY and Dan (Liz) Saarie of Baldwinsville, NY; three adored grandchildren, Madeline (Frederick), Calvin, and Gwendoline; a sister, Dorothy Cooper of North Syracuse, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY with funeral services to follow at 4:00 pm. Private burial will take place in Roosevelt Cemetery in Pennellville, NY.

Contributions in Yvonne's memory may be made to the Humane Society or a charity of one's choice.
